Milton L. Kerstein

Milton L. Kerstein is an experienced attorney specializing in education law, including K-12, and higher education, with an emphasis on student discipline, employment, representing professionals before their licensing boards and regulatory law, as well as criminal and civil litigation. He has a national practice including appearances in both state and federal court, as well as numerous appearances before administrative tribunals in Washington, D.C. and Boston, MA.

Milt brings a wealth of experience in advocating for the best outcomes possible for children and families as they navigate the educational system and is deeply familiar with the applicable laws in both Massachusetts and the United States. Milt has been involved in all aspects of education law including  K-12,  higher education, as well as student discipline at all levels. He regularly works with families dealing with student discipline issues, including Title IX complaints, as well as with children with special needs. It is not unusual to find Milt defending a student who is facing discipline at a private or public school, a college or university. involving IEPs and 504 Plans.

Milt graduated  from Suffolk University Law School Cum Laude.  He has integrated his expertise in the drafting and analysis of regulations as well as his experience within k-12 and higher education and with professional licensing boards into the practice of law.

Representing Professionals before their licensing boards, including the Board of Registration in Medicine, the Board of Registration in Dentistry, the Board of Registration of Psychologists, Board of Registration of Social Workers and the Board of Registration in Nursing.

Representing health professionals in a variety of matters, including disciplinary actions, fraud and abuse investigations and third-party audits.
